Privacy Policy
In short: Pack Atelier does not collect personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your trips, lists and people live on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud storage at Apple. We have no access to them.

2. The Pack Atelier app
Data on your device
Everything you create in Pack Atelier – trips, destinations, dates, people (first names, child yes/no), packing lists and templates – is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us.
iCloud sync
If iCloud is enabled for Pack Atelier on your device, the app syncs your data between your devices through Apple’s CloudKit in your private iCloud database. The data lives in your Apple Account and is subject to Apple’s privacy terms. We cannot see it. You can turn sync off at any time in iOS or macOS Settings.
Sharing trips
When you share a trip, Apple makes the shared data available through iCloud only to the people you invite. You send the invitation yourself through the system share sheet. Participants see the shared trip with its lists and the name their Apple Account displays for it. You can stop sharing at any time.
Weather
For the weather preview Pack Atelier requests data from Apple WeatherKit. Only the coordinates of the destination are sent to Apple – never your location. The app does not ask for location permission. To turn a destination into coordinates, the app uses Apple’s geocoding service (Core Location). Apple processes these requests without identifying you to us.
Smart Packing (Apple Intelligence)
Smart Packing uses Apple’s Foundation Models directly on your device. Your input and trip data do not leave the device. Should Pack Atelier use Private Cloud Compute in the future, it will only do so if you turn it on in the app; processing then follows Apple’s rules, without storage and without access by us.
Widgets, Live Activity, notifications
Widgets and the Live Activity read your next trip from a shared app container on your device. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device. No push servers are used.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details and no personal information.
No analytics, no advertising
Pack Atelier contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools. We only receive crash reports if you have allowed sharing them in your device settings; Apple then provides them to us without identifying you.
3. The packatelier.com website
The website is served by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, requested page and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place; transfers to the US rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
The website sets no cookies, loads no third-party fonts or scripts and uses no analytics.
Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your email address and message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Email is delivered and stored via Google (Gmail). We delete requests once they are resolved and no retention obligation applies.
4. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Contact [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; ours is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
5. Changes
If app features change in a way that affects this policy, we will update it. The date above shows the current version.
